19th Annual Free Dental Sealant Day

The Yakima Valley Community College Dental Hygiene Program is hosting the 19th annual Free Dental Sealant Day, Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Anyone 6-21 years of age can schedule an appointment. Appointments must be scheduled in advance. Scheduling will begin on January 17 and go through February 3. The Weston D. Brown Dental Hygiene Clinic is located on the Yakima Valley Community College Campus off of 16th Avenue just north of Nob Hill Blvd. Patients will receive a dental exam, fluoride treatment, and, if needed, sealants free of charge. A sealant is a safe plastic coating that is painted onto the tooth. The sealant protects the tooth from bacteria that can cause cavities.

This event has been a great success over the years serving many patients in the Yakima Valley. Sealant Day is a collaboration of YVCC, Yakima Valley dental hygienists and dentists, DSHS and the Yakima Health District. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Spanish interpreters are available.
