17-Year-Old Injured In Monday Morning Crash

Yakima Police say a 17-year-old boy was hit by a Ford Explorer early morning while he was crossing Nob Hill Boulevard in the area of Rock Avenue. Police say he was not in a crosswalk. They say he was unconscious after being hit by a Ford Explorer driven by a 23-year-old Yakima man who was driving westbound on Nob Hill at the time of the crash. The 17-year-old was taken to a Yakima hospital with a possible skull fracture. He soon was transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he remains Tuesday.
Yakima Police continue to investigate the crash.
