The Gonzaga Bulldogs advanced to their fifth consecutive Sweet 16 in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament with a 83-71 victory over the ninth-seeded Baylor Bears today in Salt Lake City, UT.

The 'Zags extended the current longest-active streak of making it into the third round of the tourney behind the 36 points of Brandon Clark who broke a school record previously held by Adam Morrison. Clark netted 15 of Gonzaga's 31 field goals and also chipped in with 8 rebounds, 5 blocked shots, 3 assists and 2 steals. His 35 point 5 block effort put him in the same company with David Robinson and Shaquille O'Neal as the only three players to accomplish that feat during March Madness.

In a postgame interview on TBS-TV, Gonzaga head coach Mark Few said of Clark's performance, "He was phenomenal tonight."

Rui Hachimura, a top-scorer normally, was held to a paltry 6 points.

Gonzaga travels to Anaheim, CA on Thursday to have a re-match with the #4 seeded Florida State Seminoles.
