Yakima Sunkings Set to Return to SunDome for Basketball Revival
The Yakima Sunkings will soon again be playing basketball in the Yakima Valley SunDome.
A PRESS CONFERENCE COMING UP MONDAY WITH LOTS OF NEWS
A press release from the professional league, The Basketball League has announced a big press conference set for Monday to announce all the details and get people excited, once again about professional basketball bouncing back to Yakima. The press conference is set for 11:00 am at the Sundome at State Fair Park Monday where officials say they'll reveal the new team logo, the 2026 Season Schedule, season ticket pricing and programs and theme game sponsorship opportunities. The tentative schedule is set for February of next year.

THE SUNKINGS WILL JOIN 36 OTHER TEAMS
According to the website thebasketballleague.net is a "Men’s professional basketball league dedicated to delivering World Class Professional Basketball" with 36 teams in four conferences in the United States. The last time Yakima was able to enjoy Sunkings basketball was back in 2008 when the team was owned by the Yakima Nation.
REMEMBER WHEN?
The Yakima Sunkings first played ball in the Sundome in 1990 and went on to winning five Continental Basketball Association titles between 1995 and 2007.
