A school supply drive to benefit students in Yakima will kick off Monday (July 1) at the Harman Center, 101 N. 65th Ave., and continue throughout the summer.

According to a new release from the city of Yakima, five area schools benefited from the donations last year.

If you would like to help, drop off items at the Harman Center anytime until the end of September.

Items requested include:

  • Erasers
  • Pencils
  • Rulers
  • Colored pencils
  • Coloring crayons
  • Markers
  • Notebook paper
  • Scissors
  • Binders
  • Glue
  • Notebooks
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Backpacks
  • Folders
