Yakima Federal Savings and Loan is helping the community in the battle against COVID-19. Bank officials have announced $20,000 in donations to ten area non-profits that focus on serving the hungry and homeless in Central Washington.
The donations are the result of bank employees being asked to nominate ten area agencies for the donations. Each group will receive $2,000.
A news release says in Yakima the money will benefit Camp Hope, Rod’s House, Northwest Harvest Hunger Relief and Meals on Wheels. Also the Sunnyside Food Bank, Fish Community Food Bank in Ellensburg and Jubilee Ministries Food Bank in Prosser will also receive checks. The checks are arriving within the next week.
