Yakima Rated in Nation’s Top 10 in Well-Being Poll

The 2012 Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index has been released, and Yakima is in the top 10 for small communities.

Gallup completed telephone interviews with 1,000 U.S. adults, seven days a week and based on their responses, individuals and communities receive an overall well-being composite score.

The criteria includes life evaluation, emotional health, physical health, healthy behavior, work environment and basic access.

In the small communities final rankings Bellingham came in at number 4, Medford Or ranked number 8 and Yakima rounds out the top 10.
