Yakima Police are searching for two robbery suspects who shot dead a 25-year-old clerk at the AM-PM on East Yakima Avenue early Thursday morning. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says the two suspects entered the store at about 2:00 a.m. and pointed a gun at the clerk demanding money. "The store clerk complied and handed over the money and then one of the suspects shot the clerk." The clerk, who's name hasn't been released died at a Yakima hospital. Bastinelli says detectives are investigating whether this robbery is related to a string of other small store robberies reported in the last month. He says the two suspects wore masks at the time of the robbery. But one had distinctive clothing that people are hoping someone will recognize. Anyone with any information is urged to call 9-1-1.
