Yakima Police Investigating Saturday Shootings

Yakima Police are investigating a homicide and a double shooting reported on Saturday. Officers were called to the area of Lincoln and Oregon avenues at about 10:00 p.m. Saturday where they found a 20-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman who had been shot. Both were hospitalized with non-life threatening wounds. Both were being treated at a Yakima hospital on Sunday.
No arrest have been made and no suspects identified.
That was Saturday night. Saturday morning at about 9:30 a.m. officers were called to an alley in the the 1100 block of Folsum Avenue where they found a woman shot dead. Authorities say the 31-year-old victim died of a gunshot wound to her chest. She has yet to be identified and no suspects have been identified or arrested.
