Yakima Police Association Votes No Confidence In City Manager

The Yakima Police Patrolman's Association has given a letter of no confidence in City Manager Cliff Moore to the Yakima City Council. Association members gave the letter to council members at the city council meeting Tuesday night. The letter says Moore doesn't spend time talking with officers and didn't speak to the union before the firing of Police Chief Dominic Rizzi and he apparently hasn't talked to the union about the hiring of a new chief. Other allegations are in the letter as well.
City officials say Moore will respond to the letter by April 2.
The union believes that Moore should step aside in the current search for a new chief.
