Yakima Police are investigating a home invasion robbery reported at a home in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue at about 6:15 a.m..Police say The 64 year old male victim answered the door and one of the suspects asked the victim a question. Moments later the suspects burst into the house and one of the suspects held up a gun. The two suspects demanded money and jewelry. The female victim told the suspects that they did not have money or jewelry in the house, but the suspects apparently did not believe them.
The male victim was hit on the head with a gun and was tied up in one of the bedrooms and a blanket was put on his head. The woman was also struck. As the suspects ransacked another Room the woman was able to jump out a window and attempted to go to a neighbor’s house. The suspects followed her and assaulted her. As the woman screamed the suspects jumped into their van and took off.
The woman was able to get the license plate number of the van as she called police. Within minutes the two suspects were found and arrested at a Union Gap home by Union Gap Police. The female victim suffered multiple injuries including a broken jaw and was taken to a local Hospital. The male victim was not injured.

The two suspects face 1st degree robbery, 2nd degree assault, and unlawful procession of firearms charges.
