Yakima Police Arrest Robbery Suspect While In Jail

Yakima Police have made an arrest in the May 4th robbery at the Tieton Food Mart at 4708 Tieton Drive. Authorities say the 24-year-old suspect was in custody in the Yakima County jail on a unrelated charge when he was arrested on the robbery charge. Police say the suspect walked into the store armed with a silver revolver and demanded cash from the clerk. They say he stole hundreds of dollars and ran from the store after threatening the clerk and a customer who was inside the store a the time of the robbery.
