Yakima County Commissioner Ron Anderson Announces Reelection Bid

One term down and a second to go?  Yakima County Commissioner Ron Anderson came on the Morning News today to announce his intent to seek reelection to his District #2  seat.

Anderson says the time has flown by and much has been accomplished in the past 4 years but he see plenty to do looking ahead.  He points to the conversion of the jail at the fairgrounds into a care center for the homeless as an important project to follow over the next five years.

Anderson say his involvement in the Yakima Basin Water project has been an "interesting journey" but with millions in federal funding secured, progress is being made and Anderson hopes to be part of that important long term project for the county.

Both Anderson and newly appointed commissioner Vicki Baker are up for election this fall.
