Snow doesn't always fall at Christmas but City of Yakima offices closed signs are a Christmas constant.

According to the latest Press Release, here's what' the Holiday future holds.

City Hall will be closed Wednesday, December 25^th and Wednesday, January 1^st for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Business offices for the Police and Fire Departments will be closed. Emergency services will remain available.

Yakima Transit will not provide bus service on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

There will be no City of Yakima garbage pick-up service on either holiday. Garbage originally scheduled for pick-up on each of the two holidays by the City’s Refuse Division will instead be postponed by one day. Refuse pick-up originally scheduled for Thursday and Friday immediately following each of the two holidays will also be delayed by one day.

Lions Pool closes at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 24^th, and will be closed all of Wednesday, December 25^th.

The pool will also close at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31^st, and all of Wednesday, January 1^st.

The City’s Harman Center will close at 12:00 pm on December 24^th and close on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The City of Yakima Municipal Court and Yakima Police will be closed on December 25^th and January 1^st.
