The Yakima County Auditors office is in November General Election mode now pushing registration and getting ballots ready to be mailed to voters next month. Auditor Charles Ross says 114,021 voters are set to get ballots in mid October for the November 6 General Election. In the city of Yakima Ross says voters will be asked if they support a big project downtown. "There's about 42,000 are going to be asked the question on the downtown plaza."
Members of the military were sent ballots on September 21. Everyone else will get ballots beginning on October 19 with the November General Election being November 6. You have until October 8 if you haven't yet registered to vote. If you are a new resident in the state you have until Ocotber 29. You can register in person at the auditors office or online at the Washington Secretary of States Office website.
