Tens of thousands lost power across Yakima and West Valley Monday afternoon.

A problem at a substation knocked out electricity to 23,000 Pacific Power customers.

The company got everything back online in less than an hour, but some businesses already closed for the day.

A dentist we spoke makes sure he has a backup.

"It's worth nothing if the power goes out and you're at the dentist, we have everything under control," said dentist Mike Clark. "We can finish whatever we've started and you wont go home in pain. So don't panic-we can take care of it. It was a huge inconvenience, but that was about all."
