Want to Visit Elvis’ Graceland? Give The Gift of Life
The New Elvis movie is coming to theaters one day only on June 24 and you could win a VIP trip to Memphis and Graceland for two by simply giving the gift of life. Red Cross officials say all you have to do is rock and roll up your sleeve and give blood platelets or plasma in celebration of the new film Elvis. The American Red Cross says Elvis was a well known blood donor leaving a legacy of generosity and community service that continues to this day. You can be a legendary donor yourself by scheduling your next blood, platelet or plasma donation appointment today.
Red Cross officials urge you to make an appointment today
To help ensure all patients have access to the blood products they count on, donors are urged to make an appointment by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
As a way to say 'thank you very much' for your donation you could win a trip
Specifically if you give blood, platelets or plasma June 1-30 you'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a VIP trip to Memphis and Graceland for two.
According the Red Cross the "trip includes round-trip air fare for two to Memphis, a three-night stay at The Guest House at Graceland and Elvis Entourage VIP tour, courtesy of Graceland, a $500 gift card for expenses, plus a custom-wrapped Gibson Epiphone guitar."
Gift cards are also available with your donation
You'll also be able to earn a gift card by giving blood. From June 1-30 the red cross is offering a $5 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice.
How important is the blood supply in America? Red Cross officials say "every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a donation."
