Members of the Yakima Aero Club are holding a special event on Saturday and Sunday November 16 and 17 at the Yakima Airport McAllister Field. It's called Young Aviators Fly Along and kids ages 11 to 18 are welcome to take a flight around the valley for free. Josh Saracco, President of the Yakima Aero Club says the flights are fun, educational and inspiring. He says many kids who take the flights are inspired to become pilots.
Saracco says there's a chance the kids will be able to fly over their homes and schools. The flights are free but space is limited.
To reserve your spot contact Amanda at 509-494-1725.
The flights are sponsored by the Fresh Hop Ale Festival, Reno's on the Runway and McCormick Air Center.
