WW II War Birds Bring Buzz To Yakima

The P-51 Mustang was an integral part of the Allied Victory in Europe during WWII and now the Mustang and more of the amazing America's War birds are coming to Yakima.
The Collings Foundation’s Wings of Freedom Tour visits the Yakima Air Terminal-McAllister Field (3210 West Washington Avenue) from Monday, June 24th through Thursday, June 27th .
It's your chance to see explore, and learn more about the heartbeat of American WW II aviation history,
You'll see the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, a Consolidated B-24 Liberator, a B-25 Mitchell bomber, a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk and the vaunted P-51 Mustang fighter. The aircraft that are part of the Wings of Freedom Tour will be located at the McCormick Air Center ) during their stay in Yakima.
Tours cost $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 12 and younger. World War II veterans are admitted for free but if you want to take a ride, you better bring your wallet.
A 30-minute flight aboard the B-17 and B-24 costs $450. Flight training in the P-51 costs $2,400 for a half hour and $3,400 for a full hour. B-25 flights are $400 per person. P-40 flight training is $2,200 for a half hour and $3,200 for a full hour.
