More rock blasting closures are planned for this week on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass and drivers need to plan for added travel time. The state DOT and crews plan to close I-90 in both directions from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Today through Thursday, April 25, from Gold Creek to the Price Creek Sno-Park . The work is weather dependent and may change if weather conditions change. The rock blasting is part of the $551 million -I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East Hyak to Keechelus Dam project to widen a five-mile stretch of the highway from four to six lanes. The project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2017.
