The Yakima Arts Commission is looking for artists who want to be part of the fall/winter 2019 "Windows Alive" art exhibition downtown. Randy Beehler, communications and public affairs Director for the city of Yakima says the project is a great way to showcase local art, all while transforming empty downtown storefronts.
The deadline for artists to submit an application is 5:00 pm on Friday, August 30th.
An opening reception is planned October 4th to unveil the windows and open the exhibit. The art work will be displayed through February 2020.
This is the 7th year for the downtown art. The current Windows Alive! installation will run through September. You can find applications at windowsalive.com
