The partisan political divide in America is something we talk about it a lot on the Morning News on KIT.  The depth of the divide is such that I suggested on air that I fear we are no longer two different sides of the same beast but are in fact two different species...like cat and dog.

But to be more accurate, maybe it's more like "Yankee and Rebel".  Too extreme?

According to the Washington Examiner, "a new national survey shows incivility has reached a low in America, with 67% believing that the nation is nearing civil war."

Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service's Battleground Poll, indicates our great divide is " likely to make the upcoming 2020 presidential race the nastiest in modern history ..(the poll) paints scenario, a picture of a highly negative campaign that will continue to exacerbate the incivility in our public discourse."
Nastiest in history.  Wow, while that may be a boon for content on talk radio but it;s bad for the heart, soul and future of the country..

Pollsters say 87% of us are frustrated with the rudeness in politics today, and at the same time it appears we really aren't interested in traditional compromise either.  Both sides seem to feel they have made a compromise to get to where they are today and see the other side as needing to make the next move.

Results show social media, the news media and President Trump all share blame  for the rift.
