Wapato Keeps Winning! 3 Weeks In a Row With The Cheapest Gas
Gas prices in Yakima and in Washington state are up on this Monday. Average gasoline prices in Yakima have risen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.56 per gallon Monday according to GasBuddy's survey of 91 stations in Yakima. The statewide average is sitting at $4.95 up from $4.93 last week.
WOW LOOK AT THE JUMP IN PRICE OF DIESEL
The national average price of diesel has jumped 15.5 cents in the last week and stands at $3.99 per gallon. For the third week in a row Wapato has the cheapest gas in the valley and the state priced at $3.99 a gallon for regular unleaded.
GasBuddy officials say the national average price of gasoline has risen 16.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.72 per gallon Monday.

WILL GAS PRICES CONTINUE TO RISE?
"Gas prices suddenly soared over the last week due to heat-related refinery outages that impacted some of the largest refineries in the country, at a time when summer gasoline demand peaks and as gasoline inventories slid to their lowest July level since 2015," says Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. He says drivers have seen average "gasoline and diesel prices rise at the fastest pace in over a year, but the rise seen in the last week should now start slowing."
