The latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll tells a tale of two different Democrat dreams.

With House of Representatives now in the control of Democrats,  the voters are telling pollsters they want their representatives to show cooperation and work with the President on important policy issues but the newly elected Democrats have plans of their own, plans that don't include the President even being in office.
  • Voters strongly believe House Democrats need to focus on areas where they can work with President Trump and congressional Republicans, but as far as Democrats are concerned, impeaching the president is the priority.
  • A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 68% of all Likely U.S. Voters think it is more important for the new Democratic majority in the House of Representatives to focus on policy areas where it can work with the president and his fellow Republicans. Just 26% say it is more important to focus on Trump’s impeachment.
  • But Democratic voters by a 49% to 43% margin believe the president’s impeachment should be the focus. Eighty-nine percent (89%) of Republicans and 72% of voters not affiliated with either major party say it’s more important to focus on areas where the two sides can work together.
