We all need a good history lesson, and who better to give us this lesson than Benjamin Franklin? OK ... not the real Benjamin Franklin, but Christopher Lowell as Ben Franklin.

The Olde Yakima Letterpress Museum in Union Gap is sponsoring Lowell. He's a nationally acclaimed historian/actor who'll portray Franklin at the Yakima Convention Center's Center Ballroom this Friday (May 12) starting at 6:30 p.m.

"Ben Franklin" is a one-man show that will speak to topics such as perseverance, creativity and good citizenship.

Valley of the Sun Barbershop Chorus will begin the evening with songs of the American Revolution and the winners of the Ben Franklin Middle School Essay Contest will be announced.

Proceeds of the event will go toward the museum's Raise The Roof Expansion.

The program is open to those from age 6 and older and tickets are available for $10.
