Two Coronavirus Cases Identified in Yakima County

Yakima Health District officials say they've identified and confirmed two cases of coronavirus in Yakima County. The two people are now isolated and being treated.

Test results on 10 suspected cases that were under investigation show two of the cases are positive for coronavirus. Health District spokeswoman Lilian Bravo says a majority of the cases under investigation were possibly exposed to the virus while attending an event at the at the Yakima Square Dance Center in Moxee.
Health officials say if you attended an event at the Yakima Square Dance Center between Feb. 22 and March 7 you are simply urged to watch your health. Officials say a Kittitas County resident with a presumptive positive case of coronavirus attended an event at the center and was close to others.

The Health District continues to monitor the community for more signs of the virus.
