Tree Top Employees Thank Company For Supporting Moms

Breastfeeding is legal and it's great for babies. Officials at Selah's Tree Top know that, and employees at the company want to say thank you.

That's why the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic -- in partnership with the Yakima Health Equity Forum, a student organization of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences -- will present Tree Top with its Excellence in Breastfeeding Support award at 10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 7) in the front lobby of the company’s main corporate office in Selah.

Tree Top was nominated by several breastfeeding employees during an open call for nominations that lasted from April to July of this year. Nominations were solicited at WIC program offices, community events, at the Yakima Central Library, and on a Facebook page for breastfeeding mothers in the Yakima Valley.

Other area businesses nominated include Yakima Urology Associates PLLC; Washington State Department of Ecology; Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital; and the Costco Call Center.
