The Yakima County Auditors office is preparing to count ballots on election night. So far 38 percent or 44, 299 ballots have been sent back to the auditors office. Auditor Charles Ross says "so things are looking good. Feels like there's a lot of energy."
Ross says he expects to see a 60 to 65 percent turnout for the election. Your ballot is due in the auditors office at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. you can place your ballot in the mail no stamp needed or you can place it in a drop box. The boxes are located in downtown Sunnyside and across the street from the Yakima County Courthouse on Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
