Three Finalists Chosen in Search for New Superintendent
Yakima residents have another chance to hear from potential Yakima School District superintendent candidates this week.
District spokesperson Amy Neal says three candidates remain under consideration: Danna Diaz, Jack Irion and Mark Davalos.
Neal says open interviews start Tuesday and will be finished Thursday. Diaz will be first up in the daylong interviews starting on Tuesday. On Wednesday Irion will spend the day in the district and Davalos will interview on Thursday.
Neal says daily interviews will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and evening forums will be held from 5:15 to 6:15 each day for each candidate. The interviews and forums are open to the public and they are being held at the district offices at 104 N. Fourth Ave.
