Three Facing Charges in Gang Related Murder
Yakima Police continue the investigation into a fatal gang related shooting reported Friday in the 1200 block of West Lincoln Avenue. 30-year-old Marcos Guillen died at a Yakima hospital after the shooting reported at about 3:30 p.m. Friday. Police say earlier in the day Guillen, a local gang member had been in an "altercation" with three rival gang members inside Hy's Market on West Lincoln Avenue. A news release says following that incident at the store surveillance video from the store shows "the three subjects stopped at the intersection of Custer Avenue and Lincoln Avenue with the victim stopped behind them in another vehicle. There is an exchange of gunfire and both vehicles leave the area."
Guillen died at Yakimas Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital.
Police say a tip lead them to a home in the 3000 block of Old Naches Highway where the three suspects were arrested. Authorities have identified those arrested as 20-year-old Jonathan Lopez, 19-year-old Angel Garcia and 15-year-old Mickael Garcia.
A search of the suspects home found two pistols and clothing that belonged to the suspects. All three are being held on drive-by shooting charges as the investigation continues Today.
