The Beatles Are Honoured With A New Statue In Liverpool
LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — The Beatles were the best thing to happen to Liverpool, even four and a half decades after their breakup. The British newspaper The Telegraph reports a study by the Liverpool City Council has found The Beatles contribute $118 million a year to the local economy and support 2,335 jobs. It's showing no signs of slowing, either. The report shows the Beatles-related economy growing up to 15 percent a year.
