The Director of the Yakima Union Gospel Mission says he's waiting on COVID-19 test results on people staying at the shelter after they were exposed to the virus. Mike Johnson says the family shelter just finished a lockdown after a family at the facility tested positive and forced the entire shelter to go into lockdown. Now Johnson says they're dealing with another cluster of cases in the men's shelter. A man tested positive for the virus so others in the men's shelter were tested and now 6 other men now have COVID-19 and Johnson says there could be other positive cases. He says staff continues to work hard to work in ways that lessons exposure. Many people are now housed in large tents outside, all the meals are prepared in separate areas from where people at the mission eat and surfaces are cleaned on a constant basis.
