Smokey Haze Forces Cancellation of 51st Annual Sunfair Parade

Haze from the nearby wildfires blankets the valley and that hazed forced the cancellation of the 51st annual Sunfair Parade. Parade organizers say it just wasn't smart to hold the parade in such conditions. Officials say participants started withdrawing from the parade because of the smokey haze early last week. They also took into consideration air advisories from the Clean Air Agency and National Weather Service.  Canceling this year's parade might give some a reason to return bigger and better next year.
