The fire is now at 1200 acres with 8 percent containment. Firefighters hope to have it fully contained on September 1.

Dozens of firefighters continue to battle the Miriam fire near White Pass. Officials say the fire is now 1106 acres with 8 percent containment. Firefighters say they're hoping for full containment by September.
More than 200 people remain on the scene fighting the blaze started by a lightning strike.

A fire camp has been set up on the top of White Pass. All evacuation orders remain in place. More closures were announced on Sunday including Forest Road 1200,  Forest Road 1000, The North Fork Tieton Trail, The Tieton Meadows Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail betweeen Tieton and White Pass.
