SEATTLE (AP) — A mudslide has temporarily halted passenger train service between Seattle and Everett.

BNSF Railway spokesman Gus Melonas says a mudslide covered the main tracks with mud, trees and debris late Sunday. Crews were working to clear the tracks.

Passenger trains have been suspended through that stretch until late Tuesday.

Freight trains, however, are running through the area.
