Shred And Med Events In Yakima Saturday

Saturday, October 27 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and if you have prescription and other drugs in your drawers or medicine cabinet you'll want to take them two disposal sites.

Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital is partnering with the Yakima Police Department at Memorial Cornerstone Medicine at 4003 Creekside Loop.

You can also drop off prescription drugs and unwanted documents to shred at the Yakima County Crimestoppers shred event at Solarity Credit Union at 110 North 5th Avenue.  There is no limit to the prescriptions being turned in but we ask that sensitive documents are kept to 2 banker boxes or 3 plastic bags per vehicle.

The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
