A cross country journey came to an end in Yakima.

On Monday, Dean Shirey made his last stop in Yakima after riding his motorcycle around the entire perimeter of the United States in the past 89 days.

He made the trip for his brother who died of cancer in Yakima about a year ago.

Shirey says even though his brother is gone, he knows he did good by his family, "He is smiling down on me right now. He is as proud of me, as I was of him."

Dean's brother, Terry Shirey, was treated for melanoma at the North Star Lodge Cancer Care Center in Yakima before he died.

Shirey says so far he's raised $11,000 on his trip, and that number is still growing.
