Sometimes it seems it seems for every inch gained, you might lose a foot.

So, that's the way it may be with the Seattle Mariners this week.

Seattle Mariners Lose Game One of Three to Texas Rangers

The Seattle Mariners had just come home from a lengthy road trip that wrapped up with a sweep of the AL West rival Oakland A’s, and found the energy to take two of three at home versus the World Series defending champs Houston Astros.

Monday evening’s match-up versus the AL West-leading Texas Ranger would be the first of three opportunities to creep up on the boys from Texas. Up until the 7th inning, the M’s held a one-to-nothing lead. That’s when the Texas bats heated up and they scored two in the top of the 7th to lead the Mariners 2 to 1. That would be all that was necessary and the M’s now look to tomorrow’s match-up for a chance to pull down a victory.
