After dropping their opener on the road at Arizona, the Seahawks will host Dallas on Sunday.

Even though they had a good chance to win yesterday in Arizona, the Seahawks couldn't get it done.

They had trouble with penalties, failed to put together a scoring drive longer than 33 yards, and struggled with pass protection.

Special teams excelled, with Leon Washington going 84 yards on a kickoff return, and 52 yards on a punt return.

OT Russell Okung suffered an injury to his right knee, which today was described as a non serious bone bruise. DT Alan Branch suffered a nerve injury in his neck in the first half, but returned to the game. WR Doug Baldwin suffered an undisclosed injury in the fourth quarter, but is expected to be OK.

Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson assessed his game: "I have to go through my reads quicker, that’s the main thing,’ he said. ‘In the red zone, the windows are a lot shorter, and I have to be smarter. I felt great about the opportunities we had. We just fell short. The defense and special teams did a great job helping us out.’ “

The Seahawks home opener is this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. The pregame broadcast starts at 11AM on AM 1280 and FM 99.3 Newstalk KIT.
