The NFL said Wednesday that Seattle's top running back wouldn't have to pay any fines associated with Super Bowl week media availabilities.

The league told reporter Ian Rappaport that Marshawn Lynch had met his requirements to talk to the media at three appearances.

"Marshawn Lynch complied with his obligation to attend all required media sessions at the Super Bowl," NFL spokesman Michael Signora told Rapoport. "In addition, there is no basis for a fine for the ('Beast Mode') hat he wore at the media sessions, which was made by and given to him by an NFL licensee, New Era, and was in team colors."

The "Beast Mode" back didn't say much during his short-lived media sessions -- "I'm here so I won't get fined," was his repeated comment -- but Lynch's curt comebacks were enough to escape a league-imposed financial raid on his bank account.
