In an interview with a Seattle radio station this morning, John Schneider said that Michael Bennett's torn rotator cuff is not a concern for the team.

It was reported over the weekend that newly acquired defensive lineman Michael Bennett had a torn rotator cuff. Adam Schefter of ESPN is the one who made the report, and while Schneider conceded that Bennett did have a shoulder injury, Seattle’s general manger pointed out that Bennett played last season with that injury, starting all 16 games and finishing with nine sacks.

Danny O'Neil wrote in Tuesday's Seattle Times:

The Seahawks knew about the injury when Bennett was signed and the team’s doctors didn’t believe it would prevent him from contributing to the team in 2013.

Will it have to be repaired? Maybe eventually, Schneider conceded, but that’s not something that is planned for this offseason and therefore won’t impact his availability.
