Summer is just getting underway but some folks are already looking ahead to fall and the return of the school year--and that's a good thing!

The good Yakamanians who enjoy time at the Harmon Center begin a summer-long school supply drive that Monday at the City of Yakima’s Harman Center, 101 N. 65th Avenue.

All the items collected willl be donated to Summitview Elementary School right behind the center.  Recreation Program Supervisor Leslie Richards says,  “We did this last year and the response was really great.”

Wanna help? You're invited to drop off items like crayons, pencils, pens, glue, scissors, tissues, hand sanitizer, notebooks, and folders at the Harman Center from Monday, July 2nd through the end of September.

Call the Harman Center at 575-6166 for more information about the school supply drive
