School Districts in the Yakima Valley are joining together to urge everyone to wear a mask when in public settings. District officials want more people to wear masks to lower COVID-19 numbers so schools can reopen in the fall. A news release from the Wapato School District says the districts have collaborated to launch the “Stop the Spread & Reopen Our Schools” community awareness campaign to urge everyone to follow the mask directive issued on June 3.
District officials want you to show off your mask. Information on how to submit photos of you and your family wearing your mask can be found on the school districts’ websites and social media platforms.
