Rising from the dead like a music vampire, Chinook Fest is back! After a one-year hiatus for COVID-Interruptis, the Northwest's favorite September slumber party is back in action and tickets are selling fast.
Cody Knows Where Of He Speaks
Cody Beebe is the frontman for the band Cody Beebe and the Crooks. He's is one of the organizers of Chinook Fest which started back in 2012 .. Cody says all the great music is just part of the reason the festival is packed out every year. The beautiful, peaceful location of Jim Sprick Park in the pines by the Naches river and the fact that people come from all over the country to unhook from technology and reconnect with life, nature, and old friends are part of the draw.
Still, hearing that kind of music in that amazing setting is a special experience, and this year's line-up features returning favorites and some newcomers too. In fact, Beebe says it was difficult to find bands whose schedules were free because after the pandemic there has been a demand for live music all over the country.
The Musical Line-up

In The C-Fest's Own Words
As posted on the Chinook Fest Facebook page: We are thrilled to announce that Chinook Fest will return the weekend of September 10-12, 2021! We’ve spent way too much time apart, and are excited to safely gather once again this fall.
Great music meets the great outdoors! Unplug for a weekend of music, camping, local craft beer, wine, food, and artisans. 2021 marks the ninth annual Chinook Fest and we are looking forward to seeing our Chinook Fest Family the weekend of September 10-12 at Jim Sprick Community Park!
Two More Things
First, there's the interview with Cody Beebe from the KIT Morning News this morning 716/21.
And second, you HAVE GOT TO SEE, the next chapter in the ongoing saga of Larry Markwart, the "official groundskeeper" at Chinook Fest. Called Larry Markwart saves Chinook Fest, the oh-so-funny video features Ty Paxton from Single Hill Brewing playing the part of Larry. The goofy Mr. Markwart has been a promotional character for Chinook Fest for years and while he's been funny before, this time, coming out of a year off for COVID, he is flipping HILARIOUS! The video is so well shot, edited, and produced, it's like Hollywood went to Chinook Fest and had one too many mushrooms. You'll see what I mean. It's a little long -- and worth every minute!! Enjoy!
