14th District State Representative Chris Corry isn't timid about the legislative session that just got underway.  He knows with a nine vote majority in the Senate and a sixteen vote majority in the House, State Democrats have the strength in numbers to do just about anything they want to do.

He sees his role as helping to make bad bills better and to help hold the line against new taxes.  Corry feels the State's budget is stable enough to not require any new taxes..and yet he knows there will be efforts to pass more taxes.

Representative Corry says the legislature will work to rework the Governor's emergency powers saying good government doesn't just come out of one office.  Getting local businesses to be able to open up and and get back to work is also a top priority.

Chris Corry is the first guest of what will be a series of legislative visits Tuesday mornings at 7:40 here on  AM 1280, Newstalk KIT.
