Sundown M Ranch is celebrating 50 years of changing lives next month. The Executive Director Scott Munson says the drug and alcohol treatment center on Highway 821 near Selah was founded in White Swan March 4 of 1968 when it was the first alcohol treatment center in Washington State. They moved to the current facility in the Yakima River Canyon in 1985 and they've been growing ever since and changing thousands of lives. "Our records show we've served more than 100,000 individuals in our program. So the reach and the impact of the services provided here are almost immeasurable."
Munson says they're holding an open house on anniversary day which is Sunday March 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information check out the website at sundown.org.
