LOS ANGELES (AP) — Some content providers are thinking about slowing the stream of content to sites like Netflix and Hulu. The head of Time Warner told analysts yesterday there may be plans to hold back shows from video sites. Instead of letting them head to streaming sites a year after they first air, Jeff Bewkes says Time Warner is thinking about shelving the programs for several years, instead. If that happens, it would mean more of the older episodes would be available on-demand to traditional cable users. Sites like Hulu and Netflix have risen in popularity as a growing number of people elect to cut the cord from cable.
