It's Friday and a lot of firefighters are hoping to have a much more relaxing weekend than they did last week. The Range 12 fire is now 96 percent contained at 176,600 acres. A spokesman says many firefighters have already been taken off the lines. 170 Firefighters along with 17 Engines, 2 Camp Crews remain on the scene of the fire. Firefighters will continue to patrol the perimeter Today and through the weekend searching for hot spots.  An Emergency Stabilization and Fire Rehabilitation Plan (Plan) is being completed by resource specialists to evaluate actual and long-term post fire impacts to critical cultural and natural resources unlikely to recover naturally from severe wildland fire damage on federal lands.  The Plan includes mapping of the burn, designating location for shrub plantings and native grass seeding, and erosion control measures.
The Halfway fire burning near Naches remains 40 percent contained at 75 acres with no growth overnight.
