Got Trash? Yakima Cleanup Day Planned in County This Fall
Got trash? If you live in the unincorporated area of Yakima County start gathering all the junk you want to throw away and mark your calendar for November 18 for a special Trash Cleanup Day.
FEES WILL BE WAIVED AT THE CHEYNE LANDFILL
County officials say the day is a chance to of one appliance, up to four tires, or a maximum of one ton of household garbage at the Cheyne Landfill, located at 4970 Cheyne Road, Zillah, The disposal fees will be waved that day...covered by the Yakima County Solid Waste Division. County officials say no vehicles or vehicle parts, Liquid waste, explosives, asbestos, or hazardous waste loads will be accepted.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IS PRE-REGISTRATION
Pre-registration is mandatory. The online registration period starts on September 18 and ends on October 18. With only 100 slots available, each valid for a single visit and non-transferable, the spots will fill fast. If you qualify, a voucher will be mailed or emailed to you before the disposal date, scheduled for November 18. check the county website at
