Jake Rudnick knows people are anxious to get back to Gold Creek Station on SR 410 after a fire closed the business October 14. Rudnick is the owner who says the fire damaged the salon and a large storage area. The blaze also resulted in significant smoke damage to the popular Gold Creek restaurant. Rudnick says the fire left more than 20 employees without a job and while he says there's no estimated date when they'll re-open he's hoping it's sooner than later. He says he's hoping to soon get power and water restored to a portion of the station so he can re-open. He says the Saloon was untouched by the fire but it has no power or water available.

Rudnick, who purchased the station almost 2 years ago says the cause is still under investigation. Rudnick has insurance on the business but that's not helping the more than 20 employees who are out of a job until further notice. A Gofundme account has been started with a goal of $100,000. So far people have donated more than $7,000. You can donate here https://www.gofundme.com/f/gold-creek-station-fire

Rudnick will talk with The Morning News at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday to give an update on the very popular Gold Creek Station.
